I had a Tata Sky set top box which also supported VOD on enabling Ethernet port. Could be an extension you know you have, could be something your anti-virus is doing to the traffic, or could be some other preference setting. Now I had a spare router with me which I could use. Since were not getting the gazillion dupes I would expect if we broke Linksys log-in across the board it could be that some custom setting you have interacts badly with the upgrade to Firefox 48. I connected this router and my network started working instantly. So I decided to switch to a new router and found CISCO Linksys EA4500 to suite my needs. Found the same issue reported by other people as well the problem was with the Wi-Fi support for the N band. A desktop, two laptops, and a PS3 in my home is sharing the same connection with this router. So far, I am not having any connection problems and the speed is great. I bought a new Linksys WRT120N cable broadband router & installed it today, but could only get a 10 Mbps wired connection to the host desktop computer & 9.5 Mbps to the intenet (Dell Dimension 8300 with Windows XP SP3 & onboard Intel(R) PRO/100 VE Network Card). Configuring the router was not a problem. The Linksys by Cisco is an excellent router. I hope you can successfully configure your wrt120n. In effect you will only use the wrt120n as wired and wireless switch.

The connection would go out from time to time. Since your modem already has dhcp server in it, disable the dhcp server of the wrt120n then connect the dsl modem cable (usually yellow patch cord) directly to one of the four switch ports of the wrt120n, not to its WAN port. I tried lot of things but finally found that the issue is with my WRT120N router. I had a D-Link router and it only lasted a year. But the internet connection worked fine when I connected to my PC directly. My Wi-Fi connect my mobiles, and TV.After some time I experienced frequent drop in my internet connection. I initially had a CISCO Linksys WRT120N router, I connected the WAN port to my internet connection and used 4 Ethernet port to connect to my PC, Laptop and printer and the final port to my home internal wire to support network in other parts of my house. As the number of devices increase you will need to expand you network to support them.
